Painters in Cary, IL

Cary's mature trees keep shaded siding damp and mildew-prone, so washing and treating the surface — not just painting over it — is what makes a repaint here last.

Painting Cary homes & businesses

Cary is ten minutes from our shop, and it's one of our favorite towns to work in — hilly, wooded, and full of variety. There are established neighborhoods like Fox Trails and Bright Oaks with 1970s-90s homes under mature trees, newer construction around Foxford Hills and the golf course, older homes near the downtown Metra station, and the estate properties of Trout Valley along the Fox River, where cedar siding and long trim runs demand a careful hand.

The wooded lots that make Cary pretty also make it harder on paint. Shaded north walls hold moisture and grow mildew, while the freeze/thaw cycle works on every caulk joint and horizontal trim board through the winter. We wash and treat the mildew instead of painting over it, scrape and prime what winter lifted, and choose coatings that stand up to both the damp shade and the summer sun. Exteriors run May through October here; interiors, cabinets, and drywall carry us through the winter.

You should know who you're hiring: Tim and Josh flip houses, and for years they hired painting crews for their own projects — which means they've been the paying customer, walked the job at the end, and seen every shortcut a crew can take. Level Best is the crew they built so they'd never have to search again. Josh is on the jobs; Tim makes sure your calls get returned within 24 hours. Free estimates, 2-year workmanship warranty.

Painting in Cary — common questions

The shaded side of my house keeps growing green mildew. Can paint fix that?+

Paint alone can't — but the right process can keep it in check. We wash and treat the mildew first, because new paint over live mildew fails fast. Then we use mildew-resistant coatings on the shaded, damp walls that Cary's tree cover creates. It won't change your lot, but it will keep the siding cleaner for years longer.

Do you work in Trout Valley?+

Yes. Trout Valley's larger homes with cedar siding and long trim runs are prep-intensive projects — cleaning and priming weathered wood, keeping lines straight over big spans — and that's exactly the kind of work we like. We're ten minutes away, so estimates and follow-ups are easy.
