Painters in Algonquin, IL

Algonquin's 90s-2000s subdivisions are hitting the age where builder-grade paint fails all at once — and the painted trim, doors, and shutters take the worst of every freeze/thaw winter.

Painting Algonquin homes & businesses

Algonquin splits into two paint markets. Old Town, down where Route 62 meets the Fox River, has older homes with real trim, real wood, and the kind of detail that rewards patient brushwork. Up the hill and west along Randall Road — Willoughby Farms, Algonquin Lakes, Copper Oaks, and the subdivisions around Algonquin Commons — it's a sea of 1990s and 2000s two-stories whose builder-grade paint is now 20-plus years old. Faded shutters, chalky trim, peeling garage-door frames: that whole generation of homes is due, and it's most of what we paint here.

Those subdivision homes are mostly vinyl or fiber-cement with wood and aluminum accents, so an exterior job here is usually about the parts that actually take paint — trim, fascia, soffits, front doors, shutters, garage doors, and cedar details — plus full repaints on the fiber-cement and hardboard homes. Illinois freeze/thaw is hardest on exactly those painted accents, splitting caulk lines and lifting paint off horizontal trim. Many Algonquin neighborhoods also have HOA color standards, and we're glad to match approved palettes and help with the paperwork.

We come at this work from an unusual direction: Tim and Josh have hired painting crews for years on their own house flips, and Level Best is the crew they always wished had shown up — full prep, crisp lines, and a clean site at the end of every day. Josh personally runs the crews on every Algonquin job. Free estimates, a callback within 24 hours, and a 2-year workmanship warranty behind the finish.

Painting in Algonquin — common questions

My Algonquin home is mostly vinyl siding. What is there to paint?+

More than you'd think — and it's the part that makes the house look sharp or tired. Trim, fascia, soffits, shutters, the front door, and the garage door are usually painted wood or metal, and they weather much faster than the siding. We also do full repaints on the fiber-cement and hardboard homes common in the newer subdivisions. A trim-and-accents refresh is one of the best value projects in town.

Our subdivision has an HOA with approved colors. Can you work with that?+

Yes. A lot of Algonquin neighborhoods have HOA palettes, and we'll match the approved color exactly and help you put together whatever the submittal requires. Getting the color and the paperwork right the first time is a lot cheaper than repainting after a violation letter.

Do you paint the older homes in Old Town too?+

Gladly. Old Town's homes have the detailed trim and older wood that need real prep — scraping, sanding, priming, careful caulking — before paint. That slower, more careful work is exactly what we built this company to do.
